Student Dress Code
The following clothing choices reflect proper observance of the Dress Code:
- Spaghetti straps, tank tops, & tube tops without visible straps on undergarments.
- Pants/jeans or the equivalent (for example, a skirt, sweatpants, leggings, a dress or shorts). May include fitted pants, including leggings (not see-through), yoga pants and “skinny jeans”; ripped jeans, as long as underwear and buttocks are not exposed.
- Closed-toed and/or activity-specific shoes.
- Beanies and hoods may be worn for inclement weather during passing periods, nutrition & lunch.
- Hoods may not be be worn in any instructional setting.
- Religious headwear
The following clothing elements are in violation of the Dress Code:
- Images or language depicting drugs or alcohol (or any illegal item or activity), violence, hate speech, profanity, pornography, sexual innuendos, degrading and/or explicit languages & imagery.
- Images or language that creates a hostile or intimidating environment based on any protected class or consistently marginalized groups as identified by LAUSD Policy Bulletin BUL-6612.1
- Clothing that reveals the torso/abdomen or undergarments.
- Undergarments are not appropriate school attire and should not be visible.
- Accessories that would be considered dangerous.
- Items that obscure the face or ears (except as a religious observance)

PE Dress Code
- PE uniform must be worn. DO NOT WEAR NON-ATHLETIC CLOTHING TO PE. Students must completely change out of clothing worn to school and into PE attire.
- Athletic sneakers (no slip-on shoes, Uggs, sandals, boots, or Crocs)
- Sunscreen and hats are permitted and recommended.
