Meal Application

 You will need:
  • Names, Dates of birth and school names for all LAUSD students including any income information for them, if they have an income.
  • Names of all other household members with their income information.
  • Last 4 digits of the Social Security Number of person submitting the application or indicate “I do not have one” if you do not have a Social Security Number
  • Just follow the instructions and provide the information being requested.
  • Lastly after the final review, click on the submit tab and finish the application.
 
 

Completing the online Meal Application will allow Dodson to:
 
  • Know your application status and have a record that you completed an application so that it doesn’t show as missing.
  • This form has important benefits. Completing the form can result in important resources for our school such as:
    • Free or reduced cost meals for students at our school
    • Before and after school academic and enrichment programs
    • Additional teachers so there are fewer students in a class
    • Guidance and College Counselors
    • Health and wellness services
    • Fee waivers for college applications and admissions tests, and more
 
  • Parents only need to fill out one Meal Application for the household. If you have children in different schools, you still only need to fill out and return one application.  If you need another application, please contact our school office.
  • You can also submit the application online at www.hif.lausd.net
  • Once you submit an application, you will receive a notice in the mail as to whether your child or children can receive free or reduced-price meals at your school.
  • If you know that your household will not qualify for free or reduced-price meals, please complete the form by checking the “Do not wish to apply” box, writing your student(s) name on the form, signing it and returning it. This will help prevent any further calls or requests for the form.
